Awesome - a Widgeon! I am guesing those are big Lycomings on the Widgeon. Didn't theyput GO-480's or something on them?

Also - applies to both the Widgeon and Goose - when looking at the gear, the plane seems to have a somewhat narrow stance and seems short-coupled as well. Do Goose or Widgeon pilots report squirrely ground-handling or are they well behaved on the ground?

These aircraft are optimized as seaplanes, the gear is probably a compromise-look at the camber wear on the Goose tires. Haven't flown either one, but the few still flying seem to get along just fine and it is neat to see them drop the gear in the water and taxi up the ramp.

Thanks for pointing out the wear on the Goose tire. It has peaked my curiousity and I will report back on my question of behaviour on the ground when having to land on land. I truly hope I win powerball tonight...within weeks I would be flying my new Goose up there and we can cruise around AK in it.
