Thumbs up Old Engines

Great Photo! For some reason, it reminded me of this famous one:

Step Taxi by AKPilot (Bravo Mike Photography), on Flickr

Between life and everything else I've been slacking on editing a ton of pictures from a very busy summer. Many more exciting photographs to come in the future.

Lovely work, FOD. You make me want to come there and fly. Someone running a busy 135 operation from Juneau asked me if I am interested in flying for him. My usual response is "no, I have things to do." But the way Alaska looks in your and Jungles pictures, no wasn't an honest answer.

I loved my time flying in Juneau. I don't imagine I'll stay gone really.

Awesome photos! You fly a true lawn dart. I really want to fly one. My fascination grows with them every day at work.

The winters are brutal, especially flying a 60 year old airplane that sometimes has heater failures. Sometime soon I'll do a gear picture to show you what I take to work to do my job and survive. Flying in Juneau seems scary to me, due to the large mountains every where, I can actually say I like the arctic and its flat terrain. I'll never forget the first time I flew up to Deadhorse and watched the sun set as we flew north. I didn't see the sun for 2 weeks but even in the darkness there was something magical about the arctic. Of course it was freaking freezing the entire time
