Moist ramps and beacons are fun. Taken at Dillingham.

That Beech 18 was going in and out of Ekuk (fish camp) this summer. Wasn't much room for error in that plane. Sounded really cool though.

Default Great Photos!

Dude your photos are really amazing. I am married to a avid photographer and I cant wait to show her your stuff. Please tell me you have a website, blog or wordpress site!

Some of your shots remind me of the photos taken by Shawn Lunt. Unfortuantly he died flying in Alaska but I still go back to his website to see some amazing photos. You might of seen his site: Due Up

Anyway, Bravo!

What SLR do you use?

Cheers

Thanks, I currently don't have a blog but am planning to work on one after the summer flying season ends.

Shawn Lunt was a very talented photographer and its tragic that his life came to an end at such a young age.

I shoot with a Nikon D40 with either the 18-55mm or 55-200mm... its not about that camera though. I just happen to get lucky

FOD,

Ilived up in Ak in the late 80's and early 90's. I flew for Ryan Air Alaska out of Kotzebue, Aniak and Nome and then flew for Bighorn out of Deadhorse and Fairbanks.

Thanks for the memories.

Hey is Cliff still alive? Are they hiring next season?

Yes Cliff is still alive and well, running the air fuel business.

No one is hiring that I know of including us.

Just saw the photos of the mineral surveying DC3. Are they using that thing for the proposed pebble mine near Iliamna? Don't forget to wear your NO PEBBLE MINE hat.

KDLG? You must be referring to PADL. I got stuck overnight there and cruised around the village and got some pictures of the fishing fleet. When I get time I'll edit and post them.
