I was passenger on that flight ( LAX to Munich ) over Rocky one of our passenger had heart attack and we made a emergency landing in Denver.

After an engine failure on takeoff.

No I wasn't flying this one, whew. The pix was on our company intra-net. By accounts the number 4 engine popped a few times before V1 from FOD. I have heard it was a goose and I also heard it was a piece of concrete..or maybe both.

But as expensive as it is to jettison fuel, it far outweighs the risks from an overweight landing on all 18 of those tires !!!!

Heh, that's good! Noticed you're position is 747 capt, I was just wondering.
