All good pix.

That was my favorite one.

I liked flying in/out of PANC. Nice layover downtown. PAFA was interesting too!

Awesome photos.

I was surprised to see the Dreamliner liver plane parked next to our gate this morning. It is a beautiful plane.

No it's Boeing's corporate paint job. Several customers have it on their aircraft.

Great stuff FOD. What settings are you shooting in?

I've been experimenting with my camera's settings to try and get the best results for shooting moving aircraft. Typically I'll be in shutter priority and around 1/400 - 1/600. The apertures for those speeds are usually so large that the images tend to come out pretty flat sometimes.

With the sun so bright down here in Phoenix, I'm going to experiment with even higher speeds at larger f/numbers to hopefully improve sharpness.

You ever consider submitting to airliners.net? The first two could possibly pass the test. Great shots as usual!

Evergreen shot in Programmed Auto
Camera: Nikon D40 Exposure: 0.001 sec (1/1000) Aperture: f/8.0 Focal Length: 125 mm ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: -2/3 EV Flash: No Flash
DC6 shot in Shutter Priority (should have bumped the shutter speed up to make it more clear)
Camera: Nikon D40 Exposure: 0.003 sec (1/320) Aperture: f/13.0 Focal Length: 160 mm ISO Speed: 200 Exposure Bias: -2/3 EV Flash: No Flash
Usually I shoot in Programmed Auto or Shutter. If I'm messing around I might do Manual.

This was really fun and the exif data is below. If you look closely you can see my outline in front of the door that the dog was in front of the window. This is by no means perfect since it was my first experiment with light painting.

Camera: Nikon D40 Exposure: 30 Aperture: f/4.5 Focal Length: 18 mm ISO Speed: 250 Exposure Bias: 0 EV Flash: No Flash

Haven't thought about A.net, sort of get the impression that they're pretty snooty about what they accept. I'll look into it.

Some great pictures you've got there. I would love to hear that DC-6 (and I'm jealous you get to fly them )
