Glider Flying in Germany
Hey Folks!
I thought I'd add a few pictures I took today while flying. Weather was awesome and I stayed up for an hour. Could've stayed longer, but I was called down so that others could fly. ;-)
I was flying a Schleicher ASK21.
This is an air-to-air shot with a KA6:
And a cockpit shot. Remember, the airspeed indicator is in km/h, not knots.
And a little pic of myself while flying! Sorry for the very concentrated face! ;-)

And three more:
Diiiiivvvvveee!!! :-D
The turn into the dive above:
And a view of the river Elbe.
I hope you liked them a little. No fancy airline stuff, but it's certainly fun flying! And you can pull some Gs too! ;-)

Oh yeah, and just as an explanation why I am flying so inefficiently (100+km/h) at 900m (~3000ft) - our airspace ends there because of the D-CTR of Hamburg (EDDH) so unfortunatly we can't go any higher. Sometimes they give us 4000ft... So sometimes you have to push over and fly faster in order not to climb any further.

It is!
Thank you - I hope so! Nice to hear you were born here. I was born in the States but live here for quite a while now. I plan on moving back in about a year though...
