In the excellent book "Killing Pablo", by the same guy who wrote "Blackhawk Down" it was dicussed that the US provided electronic intelligence to the Columbians tracking Pablo Escobar, and some of it involved a King Air that was loaded with all kinds of unique and secret listening/spy stuff. I know this model King Air is newer, but perhaps the same purpose? Looks like lots of interesting antanae on the airplane. Just a guess.

After terminating the contract with the Gov. it went to HBS in San Antonio for a phase 1-4 and to de-lice it...remove all the DEA's fun toys. Prewitt took a couple trips to Mexico on some hunting trips before going in for paint and interior. Currently under contract and will be sold soon.
