It's maybe 20 miles east of Flagstaff, AZ. The Google Earth picture is no good of Barrenger, so I was glad when I got some of my own. I have another one I will put up soon.

Speaking of Google Earth, if you use the built in Flight Simulator, and pick the Cirrus aircraft you can fly over and down inside the crater. It's extremely realistic if you have a decent monitor and a joystick. And you don't have to worry about the 2000' restriction.

You're flying a lot lower over the crater than I ever got too?
Nice shots Cub.

We "filed low" so we could get down there and see things like this. I have more low-level pictures coming soon. I'd prefer to do it in a Hornet F-18, but they denied my application for one.

Low level in the crater in the Hornet would be.................huh...............not allowed
Yeah - they would deny my request too!
I look forward to seeing more pics.

Pretty thin on the tourist action. Four cars and a couple of buses.

One did look like a Cadillac El Dorado.... you don't think...... nah...

Obscure movie reference to Starman. Explains my original post as well since the post talking about Moon Landing Training seems to have disappeared.
