The number of guys who have 1,000 TPIC and want to come here is no longer a large grouping. My guess is that a bachelors degree is no longer a significant advantage, since many of those guys are going or already have gone legacy. If you meet our minimums on the last application you are sitting pretty. A chunk of your competitors are already at a legacy and won’t leave, a chunk have legacy CJOs, and the small remnant is your competitor. If you have a 1,000 TPIC and you couldn’t be bothered to submit a application, well enjoy life where you are at.

My application is still pending, this makes me hopeful.
All this talk about ANC has me wondering. If I make it to the interview and get the job can a brand new guy hold SDF? I live just under an hour away.

If you’re put in the heavy class and get MD11 you’ll be SDF based. Otherwise, you’ll likely be ANC bound (SDF is offered very seldomly to new hires and the SDF 74 spots are currently spoken for in the vacancy mock bid). You can bid for a domicile change in the next vacancy bid.

76 Z domicile out of SDF. Seniority within Z to hold Asia flying varies by time of year. Seniority to hold Z as an FO is pretty junior, possibly even as a newhire, but we’ll have to see how the bid closing tomorrow goes.

This is incorrect information. As of today there could be up to 13 unfilled MD FO positions available for new hires.
