Can't be sure, but I know more than one person who upgraded to narrowbody A at Delter to then bid widebody B.
Our other contributing factors are 1. having a single widebody payrate (biggest factor IMO) and 2. Captain Flat Dollar defined benefit.

Again, money money $$$ vs QOL. Our biggest obstacle to overcome within our group. Every time I hear “we might as well get paid cause that is the best we can achieve” makes me wanna slap the person 🙄. I can’t even imagine doing this job for another 20 years with our schedules.

To add to the above- 23 more 767s scheduled to be delivered in the next three years. 1994 was the biggest hiring year ever for UPS. With 30 years of service, those people will be retiring as well in the next year or two. Things won’t come to a standstill. It’s not Covid hiring, but the world isn’t ending. At least we aren’t in the same position as our Purple competitor.
