Don’t have a screen shot, but basically UPS corporate has decided to get out of the grooming standards game. On paper, everything from a neatly trimmed bear to ZZ Top is fine. I wouldn’t show up as a new hire with a beard, but it is happening with every class so clearly it can be done. Facial tattoos, piercings (that don’t interfere with mask wear), etc are all welcomed in the Brown multicultural paradise. That said, being far out of the industry norm could cause issues for commuters or even with some more traditional fellow crew members. YMMV, use your judgement.

"Neatly groomed and worn in a businesslike manor".

Needless to say, some folks push the above guidance...

You can only have a beard if you live in a manor? That seems unfair

Life is like that. We can’t have all the peasants thinking they are entitled to choosing their grooming standards. If I had a giant bushy beard, and someone tried to say it was unprofessional, I would point to a bushy bearded president and ask how they defined professional.

Plus you figure sooner or later you're going to have to leave the manor if you're going to fly.

Wait maybe this doesn't seem like such a bad deal. Time to water my beard.

Funny. One of the early unions (1900) in France, actually struck over the requirement to shave off their mustaches.
Guess we slow..

Which president in this century? Or the one before that?
