How about we trade Detroit for Tel-Aviv and Oakland for Ankara/Istanbul? (I mention Istanbul because we’d probably end up flying out of the brand-new airport in Istanbul as opposed to Ankara)
So you’re ok with Turkish pilots flying our cargo to Turkey and to Israel? DECADES after the initial security threats? 😞
Why don’t we surrender Shenzhen, Shanghai and Hong Kong to other airlines? Singapore and Sydney while we’re at it?

Have you ever been to Tel Aviv or Ankara? I feel safer there than in Detroit and would love to trade..

Why don’t we add Africa flying too. Don’t forget your bribery money. You’ll need it to buy the aircrafts transponder back that was taken out during the turn. Then have to pay a surcharge to get fuel in cash.... I’ve been to Tel-Aviv, Ankara, Kandahar, Bagdad, Oakland and Detroit. Little dramatic about Detroit and Oakland. Did you know EL AL aircraft are equipped with middle defense systems to protect against SAMs? Did you know Mossad provides security? You want to fly there, have at it.. I’m ok with it. How long has WG flown Domestic turns, you didn’t mention that?
You seem to argue for the sake of arguing? What is your point? That we should just cave in and give up all the cities some might feel uncomfortable with?
I can’t believe one of our guys/gals would argue for limits on IPA flying? So you feel uncomfortable with flying to Tel Aviv and Ankara and prefer pilots from other airlines do this flying for us instead?? Is that really what you want? I want IPA pilots to do ALL of that flying.. if you’re expecting me to wish for something else you must have me confused with a manager.

Don’t understand your WG reference?

Yeah I agree - why don’t we fly to Africa?? ..and yes, we should be getting those cities too.

I’m not arguing. If you feel the safety of crews is worth the flying, then run for IPA office or go into management. Don’t complain about it on the Internet. Go make a difference! Oh and my point is crew safety. Thanks for asking.

Since you care so much about our welfare and our safety maybe you should suggest all flying YOU deem unsafe is kept away from ALL IPA pilots? ..you don’t want it and therefore it must be unsafe.
Still don’t get your WB comment. All of that flying should be IPA so what is your point here?

Too funny, because ‘safety for the crews’ WAS the management’s excuse for taking that flying away and then keeping it away from us (seemingly in perpetuity).

You seem to be the type that if the flying returned into Turkey, the first sign of trouble, you’d be whining that UPS shouldn’t be flying there and putting crews in danger...
Lighten up. It’s not my fault you don’t have a date for Valentines day. I take you will be flying into “The Mog” next month?

So you’re saying all domestic flights were done by UPS/IPA crews except for peak last year?

Never said all domestic flying was done by our pilots, not once did I say that. I did say I wish that was the case. I am ipa and want ipa pilots to have as many flying opportunities as possible. Never realized there were those who wished for other airlines to do our flying..

Western Global was a blatant scope violation that the IPA beat back, just as the ATSG 767s were.
As for other cities...they’d be more IPA pilot jobs, somebody will bid it. Remember BT’s video earlier this week where international scope was in the company’s crosshairs?
Delta does Lagos, Accra, and Dakar; I don’t think they’ve required crew bribes or been held up at gunpoint.
