I think you're missing there point of this thread. There is no double standard for first amendment expression, but as United employees tact and good judgment should prevail. In fact it's codified in company policy.

When first officer Folk decided to unleash, his social media profile picture was of him in a United Pilot uniform. Can you understand how the company might take issue with that? I'd imagine if you contacted Folk he'd be more than able to explain the nuance to you.
