PS Travel boarding as group 3
I don't usually DH or PS travel, but when did we get downgraded? I know if in uniform you can board as group 1, but when did we change to group 3?
I PS travelled this week not in uniform and by the time I boarded (1st in line of group 3) the overhead spaces were all gone.

It's been awhile... group 3 unless you have a seat in FC. I get around this by standing in the back of group 1 and showing my company ID with my boarding pass... never given any grief. If I don't have a suitcase I just board in 3.

If you're in uniform you can board as if you were a working crewmember, as long as the FAs are on board. Otherwise board with whatever group you want...Global, Group 1, you choose.

Also, if you are doing a regular DH it should still be Group 1. If you DV8 it will be Group 3. I just did a double DH after a double damned reassignment and it was Group 1 on both legs.

It IS in the contract. You can pre-board with the crew if in Uniform. Otherwise you can board with Group 1 regardless of what your boarding pass says.

A deadheading Pilot in uniform shall be permitted to board the aircraft as if he were a working crewmember once the minimum number of flight attendants are on board or anytime thereafter, unless prohibited by government regulations. Other deadheading pilots may board at any time during the passenger boarding process. A deadheading Pilot must, prior to boarding, check in and have his boarding pass scanned.
Disregard a Group number on the ticket.
