Short version: she was (literally) a "poster child" for UA due to her participation in the Olympics as an active employee since UAL was, and is, an official sponsor of the US team. At the height (depth?) of the UA bankruptcy she bailed for JB and is currently a muckity muck at JB.

For various reasons she is very well known to both pilot groups.

Please... so you're telling me a straight relative seniority merger is nothing less than a lottery jackpot to B6 and a loss to the UCH side? If we factor in career expectations then a fence is the only reasonable answer since Airbus is the biggest thing they own. Not trying to be a Richard but brotherhood doesn't involve 70% of one side taking it in the nads... assuming this were to ever happen.
From a straight W2/career earnings stand point, a straight staple job would be a jackpot to about 80-90% of their list.

grim04 and bunkerF16, how should United and jetBlue go?
So your saying an arbitrator is going to put your number 1 guy right next to our number 1 guy even though VA wasn't even an idea when our number 1 guy was hired. Ok who's drinking the juice now? You are going to have 3500 ****ed off jetblue guys as opposed to 700 VA guys? Yeah that's going to happen.
All I'm saying is there is a precedent we can use with the arbitrator that is not DOH but a seniority integration starting at there first ever hire in 2007 and go from there. With a fence to protect both sides for at least 5 years. I'm below 2007 so this isn't personal. Our top 1500 guys need protections period. Our 190 guys need protection.
Well most of the guys I've been talking to hired pre 2007 feel like I do. I'm sorry to burst your bubble but there are 1600 guys at JB that will fight anything other than post 2007 integration. No I would not expect integration like that with delta or American or United. Ask yourself this. Would we get it nope no friggin way. We will see how this fight turns out. I will be in it for sure along with the top 1600 guys.

I hesitate to enter the fray over SLIs, but what the heck it's all "Pie in the Sky" anyways.
Today's SLIs are fairly simply to calculate given the propensity of the arbitrators to use the new found algorithmic tool. As such one can hazard a guess how they would approach a UAL/JBLU SLI.
Stovepiped Category and Class sorted by a percentage usage of longevity.
The end result would put the most senior JBLU pilot beneath the most junior WB captain at UAL in a Stovepiped list (which is not the same as the actual current bidding list).
Without digging into actual numbers and just going on my own guesses AND JUST FOR FUN!!! A UAL/JBLU SLI MIGHT look something like this:
What does that mean? It means JBLU Airbus captains fall from 2500 to 8500 seniority, Airbus FOs fall 8500 to 11500 and RJ pilots are on the bottom of the list, and I would expect a 5 year fence to be included as well. Keep in mind that within those groupings the sort is then dependent on what percentage is given to longevity. At 100% longevity the categories are sorted purely on date of hire. That would put the most senior JBLU captain pretty far down the list since they are (I think) 1999 hires and as a result would end up much closer to 6000 than 2500.
Now before anyone gets their panties in a bunch just remember this is an internet forum and we're talking about a rumor and nothing more so this is pure entertainment. Also, I want to emphasize for any JBLU pilot that might read this who doesn't fully understand what I mean by Stovepiped that the actual most senior RJ pilot will not end up on the bottom of the list because in a Stovepiped list it is assumed every pilot bids the most senior position possible which is, of course, never the case in the actual world.
My primary point is that recent SLIs have been somewhat mechanical as the "science" is sort of settled at the moment given that all 3 of the recent legacy mergers were Stovepiped Category and Class.

Do these count:
My tank thread has over 150,000 views and my video has over 50,000 views. I also write for two aquarium magazines and race Porsches. My next race isn't until February at Sebring hence I have time to kill on a lazy Sunday morning in December in frozen New York
JPMagyars 240.
Bad day of practice at Lime Rock Park in CT.
