I was being sarcastic responding to a rediculous question......of course we’re going to fly both engine types why wouldn’t we? The 757 fleet has 2 engines and the 767 has 2 engines so in one fleet we have 4 engine types. We have 3 engine types on the 777.....

It was meant to start a discussion, how about you contribute and say- I wonder if they’re having trouble finding used V arbii so they finally decided to pull the trigger on cfm’s? I wonder what the break even number of airframes is to add a second engine type to a fleet that currently only has a single engine type? I wonder how much it’ll cost then to train us on the cfm’s and what type of training it will be? Are they going to be over water certified? Acars2.0? Would they get rid of the bus completely or all the 319’s if they got a NSNB?
