If there is one thing about the Guppy that frustrates me its the VNAV. It seemed to work well on the other Boeings I flew, but the other day I literally thought it was trying to rip the wings off in the descent.

Hot, loud, cramped, underperforming marvel of mediocre engineering. Also, likely the first thing post SLI new hires will have a chance to bid captain on.

Rumor has it the aft CG issue was a policy created to save some fuel. They intentionally load it aft for a few dollars in savings. I actually saw a tail stand on one the other day though.

That VNAV - plus or minus 20kts is the norm.
