we really need to get past the guppy guys treating the customers to a 35 minute sauna. when i ride or dh, and it's hot, i always ask the capt to start the air. and the south guys have, almost invariably, given me the evil stare
just my experience
and. in 25 pre-merger years, i was hot during boarding maybe a dozen times
in these few post-merger yrs, I've been in a sauna several times a month.
yes. need to get past the divisive crap-
so let's all spend the gas and keep the cabins cool
don't play this 'two completely different airlines are exactly the same' game. doesn't seem so to me so far
but can get there...

I have been on many 320's that were not running the APU for deplaning, going back to well before the merger.

Wow...Ill say it again, we really need to get past the divisive crap. But since you seem to be incapable of such things. The whole APU off arrival is a Notrh procedure. The South guys always started the APU up, shut down the engines and ran the APU till external air was hooked up.

I believe (with only 3rdhand knowledge) it was created by zealous flt ops leadership trying to deliver econ value to Jeffy.
in my posts I'm not addressing who started the crazy apu off program - maybe it was Jeffy, a mutual enemy of north and south, let's say.
I'm not addressing the actual data on hot jets parsed into north and south;
I'm merely stating my own experience on my 2-4 rides/deadheads a mnth. and in my experience, guppies operated by south captains are toasty and steamy more than half the time. all other jets (320, 757, 767, 777,787,400) are quite comfortably cooled on almost every ride.
maybe the gupp caps just see me coming and crank the heat. who knows...

I'll admit, I can't recall the exact date my regular monthly sauna treatments began - but it was about the time of the merger (+\- 6 mnths).
