Came up a couple days ago on the other forum. He was a nice enough guy but he was one fo the reason we've overstretched on Guppies (trying to use the ER to replace 757 flying which it just wasn't designed for). I'm personally hoping the rumors of A321s happen since they are much closer in performance to a 757 than any guppy will ever be.

Same guy that took us from full 3 cabin 747's to 2 class 787's to Australia which likely lost a lot of premium flyers to AA/QF with that move? Same guy responsible for ORD-HKG going to a weight restricted 772? Or all the freight/mail contracts lost out of Hawaii due to weight restricted 737's?

Is that your speculation or is their statistics showing the amount of actual paying F Class customers we flew on 3 cabin aircrafts?

Well, since the merger and Jeff's new policies on upgrades, why in the world would anyone buy first class when you can get an upgrade for pennies? First class used to pay for the plane. If you give it away, so much for yield management.

As for non rev, I guess we need to pay more attention here. Non rev virtually never get first class anymore because it is filled with upgrades before non rev. I can't even get an upgrade to a positive space DH. I haven't seen non rev in first for a very long time.

I think the real story here is that Wall Street has forced the United board into making some big changes down the road... Znotins was part of the old way of thinking and probably not capable of meeting the expectations of the new layers of management... his duties included scheduling , route planning, long range planning, slot management, capacity optimization, joint ventures and route profitability.... It should be interesting to see what direction this takes us...

Well, do you have all the numbers to show all this lost revenue, besides speculation?

Pilots actually get ticket revenue data for the day's international long-haul departures in our briefings. 1st Class revenue is almost non-existent. A lot of that is due to alienating premium customers for years, but it is what it is.
