The bulletin for the latest vacancy did say to expect more 777 vacancies in the future assuming when the training pipeline becomes more manageable

What about domicile changes within fleets? Are those on hold?

If there is an opening they are processed in seniority order. Except for 1-for-1 base trades.

Nothing is "on hold".

However, same equipment bids to a different base is treated differently than a vacancy bid. Very few protections in the contract for such a move. I have several friends that were taken advantage of, (shocking, I know) by manpower planning. They would not activate the new domicile bid because they were short in the vacating domicile.

No protections, no bumps....pretty much at their whim. Usually doesn't happen, but it's not protected and ripe for abuse.

Not sure what you mean that nothing is "on hold". Pilot planning told me today that my move from LAX to IAH (awarded in 16-11) would not be happening until "December at the earliest." So domicile changes within fleets is on hold....at least for me.

My reading of the contract is they cannot cancel vacation for involuntary displacement, correct?

Maybe if things are on hold so to speak that the silly stupid people who are coming up with all these vacancy and displacement bids finally got drug and alcohol tested. Maybe (one could only dream) that these rocket scientists are being replaced with actual real-deal competent people who are capable of planning for a period of time farther out than six weeks.

Well, they always need somebody to sit RSV in paradise.

And since he couldn't hold that, he got GUM.
