But it would curious to see the other hubs as well. Not sure the A in EWR could handle all the foot print on the ramp. Nevermind the inside gate area now being filled with the amount of passengers boarding 100+ seat aircraft as opposed to the 50-70 now. What a mass of people that could be crammed into that thing.

In sure they'll be able to make it work. It just seems like a tight squeeze that may not accomdate a narrow body. Especially with the closeness of the east and west line and the AA/AE ops across the way.
Right. USAir ran airbusses out of there for years, and it's been accomdating DAL's 717/MD80-90's.

I'd have to take a look next time. But something the size of a 74 would fit betwee A twenty whatever and the Wilbur/Lindy? I'm not so sure. And IF they parked one there, see above. Void the A accomdate a widebody amount of passengers inside, as well as the passengers for other gates? Nevermind the gates in the alley where the shuttle picks up, as well the west side, etc.

UAL strategically gave the first pod of terminal A in ewr to southwest, JetBlue, and air canada. Every one has larger than an rj size planes and security is a nightmare, the air conditioning is from the 70's, and there is one food option other than made last week sandwiches all crammed into one pod.
We could use A for mainline but we will not be winning over many passengers.

I don't think you get it. Once you lose gates in LAX, there is no getting them back. There is no room for domestic growth of any kind. Term 6 was critical for us to keep so we could provide extra domestic feed for the international flying. With the latest news that Delta is moving into Terminals 2 and 3 and AA at Terminal 4 and 5, both those airlines now have direct Terminal access to the Tom Bradley International Terminal where those passengers transitioning, do not have to leave security. It's huge for them and a major loss to us, being stuck in the corner. And "nobody puts 'Baby' into the corner."
