More 777-200s and 777-300

Boeing's problem is not a shortage of available 777-300ER production slots. In fact, I'll be shocked if we don't see UAL, AA, and DAL all take some highly discounted 777s off of Boeing's hands. Boeing has a huge glut of 777 production slots to fill prior to the cutover to the 777X and I think all the big boys are smelling a fire sale on the horizon.

I suspect it has more to do with Boeing wanting to keep PIA and the switch to the 787 is essentially a deferral for PIA since they would get 787s later.

The curb feelers, IIRC are only about .5 degrees of bank short of hitting the motor.

However, Boeing has also been making regular progress on filling those 777-300ER slots. I wouldn't be surprised that we already have a few more orders than have been announced, and they do have more slots available.
But again, fire sale prices, I bet airlines are hedging a little to see how the fiscal year finishes up to justify ordering more widebodies. Remember our stock buyback debacle? I'd hate to put some downward pressure on the stock price for those investment groups....
Yes they have slots, huge glut? No. SFO gets our first 3 300's, looking forward to them in about 3 months.
Our early 200's are light weight and really need to go despite installing new interiors. Some heavy weight young 200's we could use.

010@35 in a 900ER landing 27 at IAH, with curb feelers... It's not that big of a deal. Wing down, top rudder the target speed is so high I don't think it was more than 3-4 degrees of bank.

They could have at least put a little wheel or skid plate on the tip so I would feel so bad about scraping the paint off of them. Or, scraping them off.
