Default 121 currency to get a United interview?

Hello Gentlemen. I am currently working part 91 corporate in 400XP and 900XP. I left the regional's in 2009 with five years as captain on the E145 under my belt. Spent the next five years as Chief Pilot part 91 on a Beechjet. I really want to get back to airline flying preferably United. I here the different stories of who got hired and there seems to be no rime or reason to it. Under thirty getting hired and guys with 747 time, Chief Pilot, and don't get called. While waiting on an interview for United would there be any benefit to going back to a 121 regional with regard to making myself an interest to them? I have over 10,000 hours majority part 121, four type ratings, and a masters degree in Aviation Safety. Thank you for taking the time.

Heck no, my last 121 time was 2001-2003, I was 91,91k and 135 since 2003 and was hired last year. You checked off the 121 box, thats all the computer cares about for points.
