Just started last week, late April CJO-
2 classes in August will have off the street new hires & returning guys and then one class a month Sept-Dec with just guys returning and the preferential career path program guys.

Off the street CJO's expected to resume in classes beginning January 2017.

*Subject to the airline winds of change of course.

Softening market, growing with GDP, more returning pilots, international turmoil (Brexit/Terrorism etc)

Hope this helps with a bit of clarity.

Does your probation year start on day 1 of indoc?

I remember DENTK saying it did start on day 1 but the contract says 12 bid months.

Just looking for clarification bc I'm coming off of military leave soon and wanting to know how much longer I have on probation.

I believe it's 12 months but also something about doing 165 days of work at the company.

That's what the contract says but does that start on day 1 of indoc or your actual first month you can bid out of training?

There is more to it if you are on leave though. Look deeper. They mentioned another obligation to the military guys in our class this week. Ultimately couldn't be on leave the whole time and come back off probation. Did involve some amount of time on property.

You are correct he was asking when does the clock start..

"A Pilot shall be on probation for twelve (12) Bid Periods of service as a Pilot for the Company and having performed 165 days of work for the Company. For purposes of this Section 6-C, "Work" shall include Pilot duty, reserve availability, training, instruction, special assignment and all other flight duties for which compensation is paid. Nothing in this Agreement shall be construed to prevent the Company from ending a Pilot’s employment during his period of probation regardless of his position on the Seniority List."

for the purposes of "service as a pilot" that starts on day one of INDOC. and "work" includes all the days that you have either "TRP, TRN, or OEB" on your schedule. Plus of coure RSV or actual trips

I'm a 2007 Lual furlough, will be in either Sept or Oct class. When I last spoke to the UAL membership committee chair in January, she said about 350 pilots were still out on vol furlough. Id say that number is around 250-275 now.
