New Hire Class Dates Updated

Ummm....how exactly does that work given the language in the UPA?
The 10-year "clock" starts at date of furlough. The furloughs, at least on the LUAL side, started during 2008 and occurred on a regular basis until late 2009.
How is the date the same for everybody?
7-F Seniority
A Pilot shall maintain his relative position on the Seniority List for all time on furlough and recall bypass provided that the continuous period of furlough and recall bypass shall not exceed ten (10) years. Once such a continuous period exceeds ten (10) years, a Pilot shall forfeit all recall rights and his name shall be removed from the Seniority List. Pilots shall receive longevity credit for all time spent on furlough.

But I hear even more good dudes/dudettes not getting through the HR. While in standard fashion there were more than a few that did get through HR that were OTS. And caused many to scratch their head......

No it's not..... It's 10 years from the start of your fourlough. The first fourlough took place in Sept of 2008 so the people who have been out the longest still have 2 years to decide. UAL furloughed into 2009 so there is about 3 years left before all furloughee's need to come back or resign.

Thanks I misspoke on that point. I wanted to make sure that people understood they the new hires from the express operators have to go through the same processes and that many of them are being turned down (a good friend of mine was turned down and left me scratching my head).

A while back, one of XJT's slightly outspoken pilots that ALWAYS has the ability to call like it is said something along the lines of "the CPP is nothing more than a chance, at a chance, at a chance.......".
Just from what I'm hearing, that about sums it up.

i keep hearing and reading on here that United might be slowing it's hiring and classes for the rest of the year. I am curious if anyone has any recent information on:
1. Time from hogan to interview
2. Time between CJO and Indoc.
3. When will all training be conducted in Denver?
4. Any updates on the rest of the year...at this point will all the calls going out be for 2017 class dates?
Thanks in advance!
