You also realize that any changes to a plan within five years of it being distressed are not recognized via PBGC benefits right. Sorry but your conspiracy theory holds zero water.

Far more plausible that Prater having the horsepower to get it changed. Surely you overestimate the creditable Prater had as ALPA president and clout he had on capital hill.

I don't recall discussing this - did baseball fill your ear?

Sorry - your boy CC lost.

Kind of like faking a heart attack right? When Prater went to Capitol Hill he WAS ALPA. Senior guys run ALPA, senior guys WANTED the age changed, senior guys GOT the age changed. It really is that simple. Prater did NOT do it on his own, he did it with the full backing of the ALPA executive board.

You were the one talking about tryin to get a change that allowed 100% of the benefit to be collected up front, not me. The PBGC already HAS rules prohibiting that, there is no way anyone in DC would use negotiating capital to open that can of worms.

I think CC is wrong but carry on anyways.

Talk about conspiracy theories - now you're starting to sound like you need more participation trophies. You do know there are more younger, junior guys than older, senior guys - right! Maybe it's your lack of participation as a group that causes you to be lead around instead of leading the pack. All you have to do is look at the participation rate in the latest #171 Captian election - speaks volumes.

No, the change was to get 100 percent of the benefits at 60 instead of being forced to wait until 65 to get 100 percent. Reading comprehension!

That would have come in handy if they put the age change up for a vote, having the majority of younger guys against it AND being powerless to stop it made it that much more insulting.

I wrote letters, called my senator and congressman, and sought one of them out at a public event to voice my opinion. Complete waste of time because ALPA was on a mission to "make the guys whole who lost their retirements."
