Good question. I was recently scheduled to dh on a 753, which got e-sub'd with a 763. Pretty slick, until we were told the L-UAL F/As would be a couple hours getting to the airport off reserve. Meanwhile, the original L-CAL FAs were standing around with the rest of us...waiting to now dh as well. Classic. This sheet is getting old.

It's not so much about getting the undies in a bunch as it is with an overall frustration with the airline. We all preach unity but as a group we can't fix the infrastructure problems of the airline. Around 7 years into the merger and it's still not close to being complete. APC and other forums give the employees a place to vent their frustration because they can't identify the real problems they're dealing with.

Personal opinion - throw all management out from OM down to the CP level or equivalent at other departments. There are well qualified people out there to fill these position.

The employees need leaders instead of lip service but in the meantime feel free to twist your undies in a bunch.

Totally agree. Bad Juju. Fix the damn problem and make everyone get on the same team.

To answer the question . . .

The 777-300's were acquired by giving up 787 slots. The 787 slots were UAL 787 slots. The 777-300's are being flown by L-UAL FA's. The EWR L-CAL FA's are hot under the collar 'cuz the planes are flying out of EWR.

Like I said . . . bad Juju.

Ok. The way I see it, having UA written or not written on the N-number of some airplanes we buy is not a "real problem".

This isn't about unity. This is about absurdity.

The l-Cal fa's not working certain planes & vice versa is the crap that needs to gtfo.

It's actually quite simple. I would get step on a jet and recognize the tail number. To you they might be a piece of metal which is a conduit to a bank account but to me they meant more than that. Yes United beat the hell of me/us over the last 15 years but I was still proud of the people I flew with and the planes I flew on.

Now that we have brand X wings, uniforms, and high visibility vests with a bullseye on the back, why not planes.
