Keep waiting for Bus to grow. Maybe when more 319s show up.
Maybe not.

Not true according to the June Crew Resources Outlook that just came out today. Subject to changing tomorrow.

4% mainline growth between summer 2016 and 2017.
DCA Guppy flying to increase 50%.
There will be more DEN Bus bids in the future.
Hiring of 700 pilots between now and summer 2017.
This bid is beginning of staffing 777-300s which will be in EWR and SFO mostly.

I speaking about this bid specifically. All 777 CA positions on this bid are for retirements.

For THIS current bid, 1610V the 777 positions are for the new deliveries.

From the Company, today.

This week you saw vacancy bid 1610V, which starts to set us up for next summer – particularly to address staffing needs on the 777 as well as creating new-hire positions.

On the 777, we opened 60 positions to start staffing the upcoming deliveries.

Would it be reasonable to assume that the bid would address:

A. incoming deliveries of aircraft per Boeing schedule
B. Outgoing pilots due to retirements per known separation date

??

Look this is real simple.......look at the min/max look how many 777 CAs are retiring look at how many vacancies are posted......its +7 system wide....overall a wash.

So more 777 Captain bids in EWR and SFO in 1 month than are retiring in the next 3 months, but this is a wash? No. Its for new airplanes obviously. There's a reason each one was 10. Why not just read the CRO and see what the company said about the 60 777 bids. 27 Captains, and 33 FOs for new deliveries.
