I've never flown an Airbus, only Boeing. I'm assuming you've flown both, so I'm curious in your general opinion as to what makes the Airbus a superior product, other than creature comforts of the cockpit? Honest question.

It's not a superior product. It's more comfortable to fly yes, but the 319 vs -700 operating metrics are almost identical, actually the -700 has a slightly lower CASM. The 319 cabin is 6 inches wider, but personally I think its feels cheap. And anyone who rags on the -900er as being a pig hasn't flown a 321.

Flown both. No comparison. I question the CASM numbers as the NEO is outselling the MAX By 5:1. Anecdotal observation on the 319 vs 700 is they burn the same amount of gas for identical performance. The Bus does feel "cheap" and kind of rickety on the ground where as the guppy feels solid, especially on takeoff but that's because the 737 starts pressurizing right away, Bus doesn't pressurize until after take off. If I had to pick one to fly the rest of my career, no question it's the Bus. Absolute joy to hand fly as well. 321 vs 900ER guppy loses in CASM there too. Reason we have a ton of them is it was a reparation for the delays in 787.

Depends what 321 you flew, one built in 92, or 2012. If you pay for it, you can get 33K+ thrust per side on newer 321's. They are rockets. Clipped wing rockets, but a whole different class of airplane, performance wise.

flown both, and ride in both

been moved several times in guppies from entire sections of rows for wt and balance. never in bus

have somewhat long legs. in window seat on guppy, can't have legs straight because the curvature of cabin cuts into where my legs should be. bus sidewall goes straight up and down

baggage pits better on bus. method two over mountains on guppies. what's that ?

and.... there are no free lunches in the world. if the casm is lower, something is not as good. generally, anyway...

Until 2 years ago a little company in seattle with about 8 dudes over 80 years old had a patent on the winglets on guppies and 57's. Airbus fought them for years. I don't know the legal outcome, but now buses come with the same winglets called "sharklets" that supposedly make the bus and guppy equal on a CASM basis. Although you can throw that out the window when Boeing sells us 700's for less than 25m a piece. I think the guppy is still cheaper overall.

I just hate riding in them, in the front, or the back.

Yup. Method 2 isn't even a thing on the Bus.

The 65 737-700 orders are apparently cheaper then the used Bus's we are getting. When Boeing is giving away the end of the line product it's going to have a very low CASM and cap ex that will make share holders very happy. That's all the company cares about. As for me I have a 1000 hours in the 737 and 2200 hours in the 320's. I think Airbus is hands down better (at UAL the 320 is the most fuel efficient airplane). It's got all the comforts one could ask for in a narrowbody aircraft. It quite. It has an advanced flight deck (in comparison to 737). It was designed with today's operation in mind not adapted. With that said I am not a Boeing hater I loved the 767-300.....it just flew great. I thought the 767-400 was a pig (like 737-900) but the pay was nice with that said those are not narrowbody airplanes. The only thing I ever heard a 737 guy say is they didn't trust the fly by wire system (it was the only argument to have because the cockpit on the 737 is small, noisy, and outdated to keep SWA happy). I always asked about the rudder issue on the 737......that usually ended the conversation (every airplane has its flaw was the point).
