That is the color that I was told, but don't flame me if it turns out to be very, very, very, dark gray or something else. I'd bet on the shirts staying white, but I frankly don't know. VA doesn't wear jackets, so I don't think we are going to look like them at all (I envy how comfy their uniforms are though). I have no idea why management hasn't said anything, I heard this at a council event and it wasn't put forth as a rumor. I imagine management won't announce anything until the design is final. I'd just shelled out for some replacement items when I found this out, so thought other folks would appreciate the heads up.

Stupid questions I'm sure but if we were to get new uniforms, how is it implemented?
Is there a period of time to allow everybody to get the new uniform or a drop-dead date on when everybody must start wearing it?
Where do you get the uniforms?
Does United buy you a set (like how it works at indoc) or is everything out of your pocket?

Regardless of the process, the company picks up the tab per UPA 4-F-2.

Ok for those of you wondering about the uniform rumor here's how it works these days.
ALPA will be involved this time. The merger uniform was the brain child of Fred Abbot and he completely kept ALPA out of the process and basically dictated what the uniform would be like.
Before you hear from the Company you will hear from ALPA that they have approved a new uniform in conjunction with the Company.
If you want the scoop on the possibility of new uniforms email or text your ALPA uniform rep. Anything read here is probably just rumor or a cruel joke.

That right there is funny......better half is on the uniform committee, first she heard of the "new uniform" was from me after reading it here. That said, it appears to be more than rumor. Just don't expect your LEC uniform rep to know much, they're as much of a mushroom as you and I.
