I read your posts and thought that they were pertinent to the thread topic, as I'm sure everyone else did. I failed to see the connection which is why I asked you the question.
Your posts are the equivalent to being in Boston where the temp's 20 below zero you mention to a group of people that the temp will be a high of 65 today, failing to mention that you're referring to Miami.

It could be as simple as Par and Altimeter want more than what the shareholders are currently getting. Maybe we have the greediest investors? It would appear we have the most generous management given our current pay rates (even though we all know we deserve more, have lost more, etc)
I don't know if Altimeter and Par have stock in DAL or AA but it's possible maybe those airlines' investers are happy with the $$ they are receiving and happy to see DAL not get a contract and AA to see no profit sharing and lesser work rules in their contract.

With lower fuel prices employee salaries are once again the largest cost item on airlines' ledgers.

No one at the hedge funds has mentioned pilot or any other line employee salaries. They said that Munoz was being overpaid, but that's just another jab at the BOD since the BOD set Munoz' salary.

The reason all the employee union groups (minus the teamsters) have come out in strong support of Oscar is because the history of hedge funds taking over airlines is well told. They tend to use them as a personal ATM and leave the employees with a shell of the former company.
It's undeniable that labor relations have improved tremendously since Jeff's departure. If you think Alt/Par taking over the board is going to make things BETTER for mechanics and FA's, I would strongly urge you to reconsider.
In fact, just the distraction this group has brought to the situation makes getting you a new contract that much harder. This new threat requires massive amounts of time, attention, and resources that could be used to finish the labor contracts. I promise you Gorgo/Alt/Par couldn't care less
