I will give him credit for turning a medical condition into Lovefest for the employees of United Airlines. I guess his family serving Thanksgiving dinner to employees and him walking around Ops with a BP Monitoring machine was a slick move. Kinda reminds you of Bush landing on a carrier as a passenger walking on deck with a flight helmet in hand declaring the war in the MiddleEast is over and we won.
Time will tell and wishful thinking will not win the day for United Airlines and our employees.

My ego doesn't depend on me saying and doing what others like just to get along. My point is and will be that you and the following has put OM on a pedestal for doing absolutely nothing. He's been on the job 7 months and of that he supposedly ran the operation from his sick bed for about 3 months - highly unlikely.

You throw a bunch of BS out there, get called on it, and all you can come up with is a "love fest?" Like I said, playing chess with a pigeon.... you should quit while you're behind.

Your ego prevents you from seeing how dead wrong you are. This is a completely different company since Smisek left, that coupled with Munoz allowing people to do their jobs and giving them the tools they need to do them with is the reason. It's got nothing to do with any "love fest." You have been given concrete examples of these very things yet you refuse to acknowledge that it's having a positive effect on the operation, so be it but you are completely out in left field.

Yes, my point all along is that any positive things going on in the company is due to JS leaving and not OM arrival. When OM does something of substance that has a long term impact on the company, I'll give him credit. Until then I'll collect my check - Carry On!

One more time, try to keep up.......Smisek fired, Munoz takes over and IMMEDIATELY starts making changes to make peoples' jobs easier, operation improves immediately. That's not supposition, that's a fact. You don't see it so you don't believe it, go talk to people who have seen it happen with their own eyes..... or you can just keep spouting off useless drivel.
So he sat on the board rubber stamping everything JS did and now gets drafted to run the company and immediately changes direction. I'll call BS to that. It's was and is a simple matter of cause and effect. JS leaves and morale improves across the board and the employees feel better about the job and take pride in their work. Those at the top were looking to please the new boss and keep their jobs. If there was any inspiration to upper management from OM it was for them to do their jobs because OM had no idea what their jobs were or entailed. Stop the Lovefest and see what the 'pig in the poke' turns into.

Maybe you should raise more pigeons - would you like to quote where I said or implied the board was involved in day to day operational issues of the airline. Keep churning though - Carry On!

Then there were at least five times where you keep babbling that "the BOD rubber stamped everything Smisek did." So between the fake heart attack, the supposed connection with Lorenzo, walking around with a BP monitor (whatever that means), and refusing to see that a change in leadership has had a direct impact on the operation..... you have pretty much shot craps.
