Every wave of new-hires brings with it different requirements. I would say many of us would not have gotten hire these days. The new-hires I meet are by far the most experienced men and women United has every hire. But they couldn't get hired three years ago, because there wasn't a big hiring push.

Now it's time to let it go. The 570 are not scabs (except for those few who crossed in May 1985) and never have been. Your conjectures are just your imaginations. In fact one of the 570 started a whole pilot hire consulting service and retired from UAL in 2007. Oh he was a former Braniff pilot and striking 570.

Move onto to something a bit more interesting and quit passing on false hoods which support some agenda you may have.

And if you want to know something, back in the day the term "Marvin Mainliner" seems to have come from the "Capital Airlines" pilots who were merged into United in the 60s. Some of them never got over it either and it sure makes one miserable to fly with.
Almost every United pilot I have ever flown with, save the 570, disagrees with you.

Well probe, I've been at UAL since 78 and don't have a whole lot longer to go. However with the exception of one Capt., an Eastern striker (and you), I have never met anyone who thought or even hinted the 570 were scabs. Now yes there are a few with an attitude about how they "saved" United in 85, but in general they are few and far between.

You got it wrong, I have first hand knowledge, not some hear say prejudice or jealousy, they are not scabs and are as good a pilots United has ever hired.

Start liking your fellow pilots at United, there are some really outstanding, and enjoyable people here.

I respect your experience, but I have flown probably a third of my flight time at UAL sitting next to a SCAB/570. They are the same, except a lot of the 570 have an attitude.

They earned my contempt, and disrespect. And I have earned the right to my attitude towards them.

They don't belong here. They didn't earn it.

Having contempt and disrespect is one thing but to out and out spread falsehoods is another. This has been explained to you several time by several people and all one has to do is a advanced forum search of 'Probe' and '570' or 'Tracy Ace' to see that. If anything, you should apologize to the pilots of United Airlines for attempting to tarnish their reputation as a group and individually. It's time you man-up and apologize.

I've spent almost half my career sitting beside 570's. I enjoyed flying with them and the perspective they bring to the cockpit. You bet some have attitudes. From the strike, firings and seniority lawsuits, they have seen quite a bit. Like the 78 hires who witnessed a lot of career strife, it's all about perspective. One never stops learning.

I have also flown with a lot of decent ones, but i do not forgive what they did.

I also just had a dispatcher on my jumpseat for several hours. He was telling stories about some of our 777 and 400 Captains. He said a number of them, by far, are our the biggest problem children currently at United. He came from CAL Express a couple of years ago. He couldn't believe what they get away with, and why they haven't been fired. Neither could my lCAL FO.

Care to guess when they were hired?

And the one and only guy on this forum, who has been thrown off numerous times for his childish behavior and posts, was hired when?

Yep, there are some good 570. But there a bunch of toxic ones. And a bunch will be here for a long time to come, as some of them were hired very young.

We like to call the 787 the scab cab. Our T7 and 400 left seats have been occupied with some of the same for a long time.

No offense to those Captains in those seats, who were not hired as scabs. There are still a number of '78 hires here.

You're supporting an argument against 30 year Captains based on a junior dispatcher from cal express who says he can't believe they were not fired? Has the dispatcher ever heard of Captain's authority?

I can only attest to my experiences. They do not resemble what you describe.
