Too many years receiving emails from others in the military, each trying to out do the other with their signature line showing how "incredibly important" they were.

I hate titles...

Do the snapshots account for backfill vacancies that are created as people bid? In other words, there's 5 FO spots on the bus in SFO open. A guy already in SFO on the bus has a bid in for LAX and the snapshot shows him getting awarded his bid. Does that mean that SFO will now show 6 vacancies on the snapshot?

Hind sight is always 20/20, if I would have taken the 737 out of training, I would have been able to bid IAH two vacancy bids ago. Oh well...
I've been saying the same thing since I was hired almost a year ago now. I feel your frustration.

The answer is maybe. The company has to backfill if staffing falls below the published min, and has the option to backfill up to the published max. They dont always show up on the snapshots though....bid what you want and want what you bid.

I got a backfill bid awhile back and it did not show up until the final award.

We are getting 787 number 28 any day now and then don't get another one until mid June. Might get a few more bids to cover the next announced route which I am guessing will start up sometime in July, based on aircraft deliveries. But I am not sure if the last bid already covered that unannounced flying.

Bottom line, I think most/all of the bids are done to cover 787 flying until the ones coming in Jan/Feb of 2017.

Hopefully I am wrong and we will see some more bids after the next route announcement. Haven't heard any new rumors on what that will be, but the last Manpower update for the July Intl flying said there was still one more 787 route to be announced.

They let the cat out of the bag on the new route on the wide body flying graph they posted. If you read it carefully you will see what the new route is

I'm looking at the graph right now and everything on there has been previously announced.
