Tried to bid but mine is greyed out and no way of making a selection. I'm a new hire, hired in Jul. I have 11 days supposedly, but doesn't look like I can select anything in Apr.

Am I doing something wrong?

If you were you trying to bid for a vacation this April, you can't do that. It was part of last years cycle.

It's not allowing me to select anything. Is this how I bid? I'm on Vacation Bid; monthly, just as the directions say ...

Vacation Monthly is for current year vacation that you weren't allotted in the annual vacation bidding. The award that came out today was 2016-2017 annual vacation. The next cycle opens on the 6th.

Say this is your first time vacation bidding and you somehow were awarded your only to weeks back to back, is there any way to push that second week to another month in the next bid cycle(s)? In other words, are you stuck for the entire vacation year off of one award? I'm aware of the shift, but doesn't exactly fix the problem. Live and learn I guess... Thanks for the help!

You should be using Vacation Bid, Annual.. not monthly. Secondary window opens up on the 6th.

Yr 2016-2017 weeks 28 and 29

Look under CCS>Reports>Pilot Vacation Summary... there it spells out the exact weeks awarded.
