I think a lot of our pilots who have never been furloughed or fly through a failing airline need to get a reality check on how it is here at United… this is a great job with awesome pay and benefits. Can it get better? Of course. Is it horrible under the new TA that passed? Of course not.

I'm all for swinging at the moon… but some of our pilots would complain if the company gave us a 25% raise, 20% B/C Fund, 15 days off on reserve, Massages on layover, etc. etc.

Bottom Line: Stay away from the negative pilots and life is much mo better… enjoy the good times we are currently living in… it will get worse sometime in the future… cyclical industry.

Funny you should say that as AllenAllert is approaching 9000 posts on that other forum.

You slid of a runway - is that the reason for the user name?

It 'Murica after all. We're all entitled to our opinions. Except here I guess.
You are entitled to your opinion. But debate on this issue should be given a rest. It's over what's left to debate? The toothpaste is out of the tube.

Maybe pick a new topic to generate a feeding frenzy of the 21%'ers.

A little under 9% of the pilots weren't allowed to vote because they are on probation status. It's reasonable, I think, to surmise some would've voted "no" due to the lack of reserve improvements. The MEC could've voted to allow half-wingers a vote on this TA, but didn't possibly for this reason?

Half Wingers have never been allowed to vote… believe this rule generates from ALPA Bylaws… but could be wrong.
