Any record other than your claim - don't mean to question someone who presents himself as a first tier management type. Recorded or printed reference would be nice.

Why do we need a reference?
MEETINGS happen all the time. I doubt he was there, but the big wigs likely making small talk to keep employees confident that their management is active, responsive, and at work.
Recorded or printed references?....... That's silly.

That's crazy.
I was in high school when ALPA got decertified. So no dog in that fight. CAL had a proud legacy within ALPA, however.
Management actually has more control over its employees through using the bureaucracy of a union against it. Lorenzo has been gone for a long time, so I doubt it has been their plan. More like taking advantage of a golden opportunity while getting rich.
It was the pilots fault for letting the strike break the union. Management just took advantage of our bafoonery.

While I personally voted no, I did so for one reason. B767-300 pay.
I accept the vote. I do hope to avoid flying that AC type until the pay disparity is fixed.
I understand that in negotiations you often have to sacrifice in one area to get gains in others. B767-300 pay appears to be one such sacrifice.
Bigger picture: I don't recall a time in my 28 year career where I was able to make such significant improvements in such a short period of time. I often wonder where the career and industry would be had it not been for 9/11. I do feel future gains will be more incremental. I also want to know what the company's oil positions are for next ten years.

Before you go around poking people you might want to figure out a few things. I would be curious to know if you can spell union. You keep trashing everything that ALPA does.
The unionist approach is this. "The group gains are more important than individual sacrifices." If you get that, then there is hope for you.
I helped start our union.... Both IACP and ALPA at CAL.
I am just giving you a little history lesson, because apparently you lack the perspective and don't actually understand what really happened, or how deals are valued.
The MEC had specific goals. The company wanted a deal, the union wanted a deal.the company's goals were met, and the MEC's goals were met, a TA was reached, and we voted. The votes counted, and it did pass. That really sums it up.
