Thoughts on Vacation Bidding

Vacation Election is open now. Its in CCS under Bidding--Annual Vacation. Next week, primary Bids will open. After those are awarded, Secondary opens and finally tertiary bidding. All the dates are shown on the bidding screen.

Soon .. right now bidding is open to select how many days of your vacation you would like to bid for in the annual vacation bid. Per prior threads, best advice is to select all days. You can access this via ccs-> bidding-> annual vacation. Some time AFTER the current selection period ends, the bidding for actual vacation dates will open.

So as a new guy, I believe all I have is 11 days.
My CCS Annual Vacation Bid page says...
Maximum Yearly Vacation Days 11
Minimum Yearly Vacation Days
14
Huh? So my max is 11 and min is 14. That makes no sense. Am I looking at this incorrectly?

And someone please correct me if I remembering this wrong, but I believe you must bid these 11 days in a single chunk. If you attempt to bid say, 7 and 4, it will fail the bid because if it awards the 7 day chunk, you will not have a quantity of remaining days that's divisible by 7. Thus, the bid group will fail.
At least that's how I think I'm remembering things were two years ago.

You have 11 days to bid. For those that have 14 or more days, they have to bid at least 14. That doesn't yet apply for you.

New hire here too...
Based on the union email we got last night, if I want to take all of my 9 days of vacation, then I don't need to make any election at all because it will default to my maximum? And then at a later date I will choose what days I want to take my vacation?
