Huh?!!!! I never once said Jay had any "SECRET" meetings with Oscar. What Jay said is that they met far more frequently than he met with Jeff. I'm sure the contract extension was discussed. Look if you want to live in your grassy knoll world feel free, but don't attribute it to me!!! There isn't some secret agenda to sell something to the pilot group. Go back and read Jay's "windows open windows close" letter. An opportunity arose, and he (and we will find out how many agree in 2 days) thought it was in the best interest of the pilot group.
Your paranoia is really alarming.
Your paranoia is really alarming.
You can keep going with the insults, not doing any good. I've said it before but there is no doubt that a yes vote is a vote to the company that the current contract is ok and the pilot group is willing to continue accepting their implementation of that contract. You may think it'll only be a couple of months for a contract but it will likely take 2 years if we go along with the TA extension.
I won't rehash the JH comments but let's see where he ends up. It's possible he ends up shamed with the likes of PW, JP and BS for questionable behavior associated with the company. Give it time. It's become apparent he and others used the LOA 25 guys.
I'm also guessing that many yes voters expect some kind of accolades for voting to get rid of the LOA 25 and making them whole. Point is the cost of making them whole as a condition to start TA negotiations is nothing compared to the cost of the TA to the company and should have be done from the start. What's even worse is the trivial way many have talked on this forum about getting new pools, buy expensive cars and such while many of the LOA 25 guys are just starting financial recovery. Sad state for United Pilots.

I have actually changed my mind about the TA. I voted yes because I truly believe that more negative impacts can happen with a "no" vote, rather than a "yes" vote. The FMRS latitude that the Company is seeking can VERY easily go to another Star Alliance Partner. I also believe that if this TA were to be voted down, the Company would be more than happy to say "see you in May, maybe". When Section 6 negotiations begin, this will be a long drawn out affair. At least 2 years, more than likely, 3+ years. The world economies are stumbling and shaky at best. Our markets have been in decline for the past couple of months.
