This one and Weinberg at Motley Fool. Two junior college level "analysts" at best who don't know squat. When Weinberg cut and pastes econ text book basics and tries to sound all grown up its so cute. These one isn't much better. they both found purpose in mis-informing the sheeple to create false value for their readers.

Along the same train of thought that C2000 put United in CH11. Those who want to believe yellow journalism will.

There will be a coordinated effort from the "free skies-open skies" crowd to hold pilot labor costs down.

You can look forward to the following:

1. messages from "experts" telling us that pilot costs must be held in check.

2. Open skies is good for the US economy and promotes fair competition.

3. messages from experts telling us we must lower our standards for admission into the profession. Thus promoting younger pilots to pursue aviation.

4. messages from experts telling us to raise the age limit to infinity because of the pilot shortage. They will need more "experienced" pilots.

Look forward to each of these four areas to be pursued and pressured. Each of the four are a danger to the profession.

Right along with the thinking that 9/11 was why UAL cratered into CH11 also.

I would offer that it was a combination that picked off the low hanging fruit of airlines. Dot com bust in highly affected hubs, 9/11, a high cost structure not solely attributable to our contract, and revenue control system out of whack are some of many contributing factors leading to our demise. Chapter 11, while not a guaranteed exit, provided one stop shopping for the company's Christmas list.

I'm sure he was equally aghast at the 42% pay cut we took in BK. "Amazing" request from the company is how it would've been written. Douche. I bet he gets out of the shower to pee.
