I thought Dave has asked for a comparison from Express carriers only. I don't think any of them are north of $125/hr for any jet. And that doesn't begin to include the 16% for retirement

As Whiteferg said, "don't worry, you're not going to fly those things anyway."

Heck, I'll fly em! $195/hr Jan 2018?? That's what they are paying for a DC9/717 over at DAL!! AA's new contract has a $154/hr pay rate for the CS100. So our CS100 rates can be summed up in 2 words..INDUSTRY LEADING. This of course, if they even buy them.

Thanks to age 65, quite a few of us did get to fly those things. For the bottom third of the list, it's a realistic possibility to end up working another one of those Jets For Jobs deals. That being the case, the best comparison between the CS100 rate is the second year SkyWest CR200 FO rate of $38/hr. When people say 'best negotiating environment ever', the hair on the back of my neck stands up. It's easy to gamble when you're not furlough fodder.

The way this NO vote is being sold reminds me of how age 65 was sold. Those of us who went through J4J would prefer to see a NSNB jet that we can fall back on should the Benjamin Button crowd push for age 67+.

If anyone considers the CS100 rates to be B Scale, try flying a CR200 for $38/hr.

Us, and them
And after all we're only ordinary men.
Me, and you.
God only knows it's noz what we would choose to do.
Forward he cried from the rear
and the front rank died.

And the general sat and the lines on the map
moved from side to side.
Black and blue
And who knows which is which and who is who.
Up and down.
But in the end it's only round and round.
Haven't you heard it's a battle of words
The poster bearer cried.
Listen son, said the man with the gun
There's room for you inside.

You imply that there was a pilot or group of pilots that pushed for and had the horsepower to get 60 extended to 65. Would you care to tell the the names of those people or group. Better yet, you say there is a group pushing for 67+, that should be fresh in your mind and you should be able to roll those names off your tongue.

Not to cloud the issue but this TA is being sold hard by a greedy segment of the pilots and the Age 65 thing was an all government affair. Nobody had the horsepower to stop age 65 once Bush said - do it.

Allen, let me be crystal clear. It's very easy for someone like you to cry, 'forward' from the rear. It's not you who are going to bear the brunt of any miscalculation on your part; it's the bottom of the seniority list. Most of us in/near the bottom of the list don't have a problem with the TA's CS100 pay rates.

You assume you are a victim. You do understand that everybody was junior at some point in their career. No doubt, some have had it worst but it doesn't excuse one from working to make it the best job for all pilots.

You are right, I have a place at the top of the pay scale and will never face furlough but I'm willing to forgo the pay raise and bump in retirement in this TA because it's the right thing to do. Many sacrificed before us because they didn't have a choice, we do. Stop being a victim - vote NO.

Worried that their son was too optimistic, the parents of a little boy took him to a psychiatrist. In an attempt to dampen the boy’s spirits, the psychiatrist showed him into a room piled high with nothing but horse manure. Instead of displaying distaste, the little boy clambered to the top of the pile and began digging.

“What are you doing?” the psychiatrist asked.

“With all this manure,” the little boy replied, beaming, “there must be a pony in here somewhere.”

According to the MEC webinar last night, if the cs100 were ordered today, deliveries wouldn't take place till 2019 at the earliest.
