I believe this will go away in the next Section 6. The best thing for reserve commuters to do is vote yes as that pushes the status quo a couple years down the road. There is a good chance that will be a concessionary give next time.
Hopefully we can get a dollar or 2 an hour more per hour.

And the management types want the "10 am first day" loophole closed. They missed it when FAR 117 came down.

This post sealed the deal for me. I'm changing my vote to YES since the negotiators are going sacrifice the reserves. C'mon you no voters, get on the bandwagon. Brother James?
The only fight in this pilot group is for a shiny quarter superglued to a Cracker Barrel bathroom floor after long day of unlimited refills of sweet tea and all you can eat fried chicken. Well, make that 4-8 quarters. Hopefully.
Probe, you're in management right?

Red Foxx! The perfect clip. OK. I'm with you guys. I'll Vote yes. I give up.
It appears as though some are already prepared for additional concessions.
As Neil likes to say, YCMTSU!!! Thanks for the morning laugh. "A dollar or two"....He DOES work in the flight office.
Save your money because when they figure out the timbre of this group, they won't wait a second to come to us with hat in hand, whether its needed or not.

ST and James, Staller agrees with you? Happened to me once. I had to reevaluate my position.
I believe management will want this badly, and 85% of the pilots would not sacrifice anything else to keep it. So I believe it will go away. You heard it here first.
Potentially they could trade it for "no SC before 1300 on the first day, and no SC on the last day, unless you are the last pilot available.
85% of pilots will not "give" anything to keep the 10 am loophole. I am one of those.

4. Don't blame a commuting reserve for commuting to reserve. Sometimes it just happens. I did have a choice. I could have quit my job. But I kinda liked it so I waited it out and soon I wasn't commuting reserve any more. But it happens, sometimes quite randomly with fleet/base changes, and the rules need to be written for all of us, not just those fortunate enough to never have had to commute to reserve.
