If those jack wagons turn down 22% over 2 years....about 18% above DAL on the 737....they are truly idiots. Especially if they push for a roll call to do it. Maybe JH can use an executive order like our POTUS? This really is a no brainer. If it will pass the membership by 70%, who are the EWR/ORD reps to say no? Politics and ego. Ugh. i heard one dood was leaning no because "Dal and Swa turned their's down". Ha! our deal contains no offsets like the HUGE profit sharing hit DElta offered up. Swa's deal was a 4% raise and code sharing....of course they turned it down. Wow.

I'm not trying to be snarky here but how are we supposed to communicate to our reps that we want it to go to membership ratification if we supposedly haven't even seen it?
The union has come out and said that the leaks are wrong. Should I call my rep and say "I want you to vote yes on this thing and I have no idea what it is". Ok that last comment had some sarcasm.

Did this for a number of years....
I don't know if any of the political manipulations are true or not (this is an anonymous board), but having to go to a roll call vote to block the membership release of a contract extension indicates a near irretrievable split...section 6 probably wouldn't matter under those circumstances.
One always hopes cooler heads prevail.

Still want to see the TA, listen to and consider the landslide of opinions of the rest of the pilot group, and read it and decide for myself.
Understand the NC and MEC are mainly the same folks who negotiated this contract. Probe is right, it is not bad but the details are a problem. Fixing those details, like vacation and sick time, trip rig, reserve conversions, Captain LTD, etc., will take time.
If the TA has no concessions the question becomes do you believe the next NC and MEC will improve those and other areas of the full contract and achieve both a pay raise and retro that makes up for lost dollars as of Jan 1.
We shall see.
Eggnog is good.

My fear is many people will only see the shiny silver coins and won't understand what we are giving away.

Question for you and those that share your opinion: What if the MEC has Board confidential info that they can't share with the membership. And what if that information has something to do with diluting our leverage for future negotiations to fix the wrongs in the current contract.
Would you like a vote on a contract extension without that Board Confidential information? OR would you like your Reps that have that information to protect the pilots and turn down the TA based on their Board Confidential information?
Isn't that really why we paid for the UCH Board Seat?
