12/17 snapshot out.

Interestingly, there's 15 or so people coming off the 777 DCA FO seat yet no backfills shown. Wonder if the final is gonna be huge.

They ended DBX not going to need as many FOs now.

Is that how they shrink a base? Show max numbers on a bid then not backfill and say 'oppps, look how many guys left. Guess we'll adjust down the max for next time?'

They can adjust the min and max numbers however they want... But once posted for a vacancy bid they are supposed to back fill as necessary to meet the minimum manning. I believe min manning at IAD on 777 is low enough to allow a dozen to depart... But haven't looked yet at the min and max list...

NM, you're right. 245 is the min so 37 can bail and they're still good. Yet EWR has a max of 416 and and there's 6 guys leaving the seat and exactly 6 awards back into EWR.

So maybe they are drawing down the base via unfilled backfills. Or they're going to do some big final award of stuff that was never on the snaps, like 15-07 did.

Exactly. 37 have to bid out before they must backfill, but up to only 245.

There is only a requirement to staff to to the MIN number the max number really doesn't mean anything.

Its their discretion as to how many they backfill ABOVE the MIN number posted

Snapshot released so soon? The plot just turned into Oatmeal...It is so thick now I can hardly stir it anymore..

Steve I think you might need some coffee buddy. The MIN for EWR777 is 416 and the MAX is 416. In other words the company is not willing to lose any pilots and they only want 416.
