[QUOTE=89Pistons;2026020]Maybe not. The last few bids has had sUAL guys already on it due to unfilled openings. The CA is what is being affected (in a big way) due to the artificial barrier that's now gone. It's going to be years for it all to balance out, but I'm glad everyone gets to exercise their seniority now. Every CA below 2000 on the 787 knew they were setting themselves up for a long time on reserve. It shouldn't be a shock to anyone. That is approximately the junior seniority number on all combined WB CA slots.

#4 and #6 on the snapshot were flying 76 Cap here in Denver before they shut it down. Both '78 hires!! One is not even 60 yet. Both great guys...senior to god.

[QUOTE=b52dthdlr;2026023]What's interesting about the 737 in SFO is that there is a ton of movement.... in the bottom 50-60%. Not much movement AT ALL in the top 1/3rd. There are a lot of pilots bidding off in the bottom 2/3rds which is generating a lot of bids. Not a HUGE amount of growth, but some. Great news for some of the guys who have been stuck in the right seat for a LOOOONG time

With as much negativity as there sometimes is on the forums, it really is nice to see so many guys helping out by answering questions that a lot of, mostly new, guys have. Thanks, it really is appreciated.

I would guess a huge number of the 787 CA slots are going to guys retiring in the next 6-12 months. Between that and the 350, a lot of old timers will bid it for just one more feather in their cap. IMHO. Or, a bunch of scabs at lUAL wanting to join hands with their brethren in Sparkyland.
For the FNG's, the super junior folks getting wide body FO slots is cyclical with the economy. With a lot of movement, a lot of pilots are "frozen" because of training freezes. It reverses itself when (not if) there is a downturn in the economy. Take em while you can get em, but it may not last. Or, it may.
Happy Holidays, and bidding.
