Along with 42 used A319 that we know about it

Hiring 1000 for 2016 and 1000 for 2017 is the proof
Retirements are only 785 for the next 2 years

Off by 10 737-700 predictions
Now let's see if the other predictions materialize after the TA gets the ALPA National signature

I like the direction of your miss though. Hopefully you low balled all the other orders as well.

Cheers....

We did not park 737's before that.

Ftr...2008, merger attempt with Cal.
Cal mgt tells us Ual is so messed up financially, totally broke with ancient equipment..it won't work. I have a buddy, who's gardner does the lawn of former cal ceo Larry K...who overheard the whole merger breakdown whilst Mr.K was doing his cigar and coffee thing on his back patio.
Have you EVER thought to look at the crj 700 delivery dates to lual express carriers in regards to the guppy retirements at lual?
Lual sold out its own pilots with its scope clauses..the crj700 was/is flying mainline routes at 7-11 prices......
But, like you said, that's water under the bridge..
No real reason to even bring it up.....

Such BS. We parked 100 guppies and brought on less than 40 RJs after. THe guppies were parked for a merger. Both CAL and UsAir had plenty of guppies and orders. BUt like you said....it doesn't matter. THe SLI kicked some serious arse. For instance. I was 60% at UAL before they parked the jets and furloughed 1400+. Then I was 80%. After merger/SLI....58%, and most importantly, 800+ numbers senior to the most senior ex-CON 2005 hire. SO...water under the bridge indeed. Carry on.

I know what ya mean...water under the bridge..
the lual pilot just below me on the final seniority list was hired in June of 2000...I was on probation at a commuter in June of 2000..totally unaware of a flow thru program that they had!
I can show mine off just as good as you can J.
Lual parked guppies because skywest, Mesa, whoever..was flying your routes that you guys n gals sold out for a big *** contract 2000 pay rate ...I know because I was flying these former guppy routes in a rj 700..thinking the whole time that these poor Ual customers are being crammed in a little jet..that should have been a guppy or small bus..3+hours in an rj...come on man, that's wrong!
But if you can sleep better at night thinking that King Tilton did that to ya, ok by me.
Btw, by your avatar, congrats on the upgrade that Cal brought to the table for you..I'm sure you'd still be an f/o if not for the merger..is that guppy all she's pumped up to be? Leaving folks behind a lot, not being able to do transcons in the winter westbound? Just curious now that your on it.

To be fair, a lot of us got upgrades "because of the merger" from 2011-2013. Plus that 100 airplane order of 737s that's driven the upgrades since August 2013 were ordered for LUA, which is why their flight attendants are flying on them. Just be glad they parked, then bought them the way they did because you and I would have fared far worse merging with a pilot group who's junior pilot was roughly 4 years senior to 1/3 of the pre-merger CAL group.

Contract 2000? WE didn't sell Sheet in 2000. That contract allowed 50 seat RJs, just like CAL. You're mistaken, but since you were an RJ dude back then I guess that makes you an expert. LOL. We parked the jets in 2008-2009. WHat the heck did Contract 2000 have to do with that? Oh...and I love flying Guppy Cap...just like I did before they parked the jets. Had to bump/flush some Ex-CONs out of the BES to do it. But that's life.

Well..I disagree. Contract 2000 did have some scope relief language did it not? For big$$$ the scope relief was swept under the table and forgotten about..I was not at Ual at the time( I was learning how to fly at a commuter, whilst on an unofficial flow thru)...regardless, I have been told by LUAL pilots that this is/was the case., so if true, that's what contract 2k has to do with this...if not true, my apologies. Speaking of apologies.......
I'm very sorry for you regarding how you always try to find a way to slam us low life cal pilots...I'm even more sorry for you that you apparently left brain surgeon school. Maybe we'll be paired together on the guppy and you can show me just how awesome of an av8r you are, since I'm just a lowly commuter guy.
You believe your company parked an entire fleet for one reason, I believe it was for another...so be it. Have a great weekend regardless.

S...I count my lucky stars every time my pbs award comes out!
Only 8 years here now,ttl time including furlough, and upgrade is just around the corner..so yeah, I'm glad that things turned out the way they did. Could have been A LOT worse!!
