$195/hr. Skywest Rates? HAHAHAHA. Skywest pays $117/hr top rate. Delta has the E190s in their pay scales..$139/hr. Jetblue..$182. We top them all with this TA! Ace of Base.
The CS300 is already in the TA. Have you even looked at the TA?
The * says "includes the E2 variant". Big Deal. It is placed next to the E190 and E195. It means that the pay rate is the same for the E190/195 as the 190-E2/195-E2, their new variants. Again...have you actually read the TA or are you just going by cockpit blather?
Still don't see how this leads to furloughs. We buy em, we fly em. If they buy a NSNB, as defined by the UPA, they can get more 76 seaters, but UAX block hour ratios DECREASE, they do not increase...see page 4 of the UPA. This TA does not change that.
And this ain't the military, Sir. An FO can make more than a Captain. Rates are based on aircraft gross weight. Not rank. Our C2000 had FO rates greater than Captain rates.
Man. Click on this link and start watching/reading. Please don't be a clueless voter.

By implying skywest rates, which was wrong on my part, I was trying to say that 180/hr to fly a 195/e2 is like a skywest rate, underpaid, not a legacy Ual rate. But go ahead and vote yes, man. I mean, why would you want 250/hr when you can get 180...the e2 variant is closer to the cs300/737-500..but now that ur on the guppy, all must be good for you. Others will be flying a machine with a 3000k plus range, wt.comparable to a guppy or cs300 for pennies! There is a reason why momma U hasn't disclosed the order..a reason. Good luck to us all.

I have had mixed experience with CRJs and associated support as well. However, the C-Series is another animal. Recall that the delay was largely caused by an engine issue unrelated to Bombardier. The airplane stood idle for 6 months (full salaries) while they worked on the engine issue.
Regardless, the performance of the C-Series line is far more impressive than what Embraer can provide at this point. This airplane is extremely versatile (Hawaii capable from the West Coast), Eco-friendly and passenger friendly. Up front, you are sitting in a wide cockpit with sidesticks, huge windows for visibility, auto throttles and a Collins Pro Line Fusion system with synthetic vision found in the latest Global Express Bizjet. This ain't a bigger CRJ or Q400.
The thing to remember is that Bombardier needs a big deal - UAL has the leverage in any negotiation. With the Republic slots available, UAL could probably pick them up for cheap. Once SWISS takes its first airplanes soon, other airlines will show more interest.

Some might argue the 737 wasn't intended for transcontinental flights, overwater to the islands, or now the max version destined to be flown across the pond by Norwegian. Or the fact that in March of this year United was studying replacements for transatlantic service 757 aircraft and the MAX came up in discussions.

The 900ER is now the domestic transcon replacement for a 75 (competition permitting). As technology continues to improve (MAX), expect longer legs. You can't fight it.

The 900ER is such a great 757 replacement.....NOT! Just whisper "icing" and the 900ER will be weight restricted leaving 40 pax behind....😝

Keep in mind that the CS100 is a roughly 100 seat airplane while the CS300 seats roughly 125. The CS300 fits the 120-140 seat gap and it can be used on a variety of route types. If UAL were to make a play for the Republic CS300 orders and options (50/50), UAL could bring the unit cost down to a more reasonable level to compete with the new E2 from Embraer which won't be dirt cheap either. Older E190s like the ex-Air Canda birds cast away to Delta via Boeing are probably cheap, but the newer E2 versions will need to be negotiated and they won't be available for another 2-3 years. The CS300s that can't be used by Republic due to scope restrictions could be available in latter 2016/early 2017. Flying a mix of CS100s and bigger CS300s would be probably be the best combination. No doubt I would volunteer to fly it if UAL hired me. LOL!
I do agree that Embraer does have an advantage with so many E175s flying in UAL colors currently.

You are probably correct. SWISS has no intention to use the CS100 on longhaul flights - they will be used within Europe. It also recently upgraded 10 CS100 orders to the larger CS300 for higher density intra-Europe routes.
