That's correct as far as what the percentages mean. Reserve usually goes from 15-20% or the base, and yes it not only fluxuates by fleet, seat, and base, but also by month, season etc. It's a moving target the company adjusts each month.

FWIW, I was always one of those "if it ain't Boeing I ain't going" guys, but my only choice for EWR was the 'Bus, and I couldn't be happier. It's awesome......roomy, quiet just like everyone says. I love the flying, just not the drive to LGA, which I'd do on the Guppy too, so that doesn't really matter.
Plus, I've been a line holder since finishing IOE last month...holding my breath for the Dec schedule to see if I can make it 3 months in a row - I'm already only 15% below the G-line, so I may be a legitimate line-holder in Jan. Life on the 'Bus in EWR is great, from my perspective.

If you can get 756 on a vacancy I would highly recommend it. I like being home more than being on an overnight. I've flown 120 hours since I started IOE in July. Commuting from out West I only needed a hotel 3 times since then and that was for 3 total short calls. This time of year is proving to have very little open flying out of EWR so a 5 day stretch of long call might mean 1 short call and then you are most likely going to be left alone the rest of the long call days. If you do have to fly, your trips to Europe are the easiest 7-9 hour duty day's I could imagine thanks to the augmented crew. Evening departures and mid afternoon arrivals are the bulk of flying there. So if you don't care about being on rsv a bit longer than the bus or 737 guys, reserve life on the 756 is laughable at how little you work. No matter what you end up doing, it's all going to be good. We are thrilled to have you guys join!

Lol! Just when I had convinced myself the Guppy was going to be my best choice you two go and muddy up the waters! This is the kind of problem I've always wanted to have.

Here's another conundrum for you. I am on the 737. Started in EWR in June. Went to the DCA base for November. Line holder after only 5 months with the company.
