Having been intimately involved in the genesis of FOQA and similar FOQA programs I can tell you that this is basically crapping on your union. Every bit of this FOQA program was negotiated and paid for with our union dues money. So, if your union is out there representing you and your profession and simultaneously protecting the crews legal actions, be they intentional or unintentional we need a FOQA program to do this. If these kinds of actions occur then FOQA will be torn up and replaced with an FAA NPRM on live-flight-cockpit full video and audio surveillance with realtime data down-links to ground and satellite stations. You won't be able to sneeze or dribble yogurt down your face without it being on some "hacked" government dark website or some techno-geeks ten trillion terabyte basement server.
When an accident happens, the plaintiffs lawyers will get their full audio and video downlink in about 10 minutes. Your family is going to love having the news crew in your front yard. No more jokes in the cockpit. No more farts.....there will be too much evidence "floating around." Make sure you shave real close and button up that tie....big brother, and his big brother will be watching.

Not my fault you don't do enough research to know what you're talking about. Ironically then calling out the very people who have taken the time to learn the background behind the video. You could have answered all your own rhetorical questions with a modicum of research.... which you chose not to do. But then arrogantly declare yourself some sort of Matlock with your hypotheticals, all of which were easily disbursed of.
You said you were speaking up for those that couldn't speak for themselves. Who, pray tell, would that be? Everyone on this board can speak for themselves just fine.
You really do need a good healthy dose of "get over yourself". I wasn't kidding about United. I saw you had an app in at the Big 3. I'm being dead serious when I say this; you really should exercise a little humility if you hope to land a job and realize that you DON'T know everything. What? I never declared myself Matlock. The only person who can't stand up for them-self in this situation is the pilot in question, not the participants of this thread. Could you not comprehend that?
Read all my posts in the thread again. Show me arrogance. Show me a lack of humility. Show me why I need to "get over myself". I haven't once trumped myself up. You've even pointed out I was self-depriciating. Where did I imply I know everything BY ASKING QUESTIONS?
Again, I simply want to know why the OP has taken it upon them-self to police YouTube of pilot videos and why or if they have done any further research into it before posting it on here. There is NOTHING wrong with that and you should appreciate that I do it. I'm standing up for pilots rights. I'm not standing up for actions that may have been against FOM/FARs

As far as I can tell from what I've read on this forum you have no reading comprehension. Your attitude displayed here is a detriment to the United pilot group. A group of whom many are my friends.
I have not once defended any actions against the FOM or FARs. I do not sanction the use of videos in the cockpit. I only want questions answered before we go on a hate-parade against a pilot.

Video was sent to me by a person who saw it on YouTube. The sender knew it was against the rules to record video in the cockpit. I tried to flag it on YouTube, and posted here hoping someone might know this guy who could pull it. Video speaks for itself. No research or excuses needed.
