FWIW, I don't know if Munoz has admitted making mistakes....he admits UAL made mistakes, but that was before he took over (sound familiar?).

As I said earlier, my job conduct won't change until UAL changes. There are no WORDS that will persuade me, no pleas for loyalty, no rally cries for 'the good of the company', or rhetoric about focusing on the future and ignoring rear view mirrors. I'm a reasonable, big picture guy - but UAL management 'created' me over past decade plus, so now they have to deal with it.

I'll continue to do my job and enforce my contract as I have been doing.
Yea, no water for you...thanks Oscar, you are off to a great start.

Would be a shame if the responses on the new "we want to hear from you website" reads like the double lip speak we've come to enjoy on pravdatogether.

You mean wearing the pin on the tie and paying dues is not meaningful?
What do you consider meaningful? I curious.

I think you know what I mean. When anybody comes on a forum preaching doom and gloom promoting you accept the fate he did while passing his time in the industry is WRONG. What's his point or purpose for this. Most pilots know of the changes/challenges post deregulation and many have been working to change it and make the job more than what he left. History, we know it but it doesn't mean we have to accept it for our future.

Don't know the man, but I would guess he was a PE guy, based in CLE and was a strong supporter of Fred if not a FOF. Surprised you would ask me this question. Why didn't you ask him?

BTW - wearing the pin on the tie and paying dues is enough as long as you don't try to undermine ALPA(the pilots) for personal gain.

Probably because you have much higher entertainment value than an old (65+), boring, retired captain such as myself...just guessin'...ever hung out with really old people before?...yeecchh...

Seriously, you have to understand the negotiating environment in which one operates. You can't wish it into something it is not, nor can you go back. The deregulated genie is out of the bottle...it has just taken a lot of people a long time to adjust to it. The elimination of government price supports unleashed powerful, powerful market forces.

Having said that, pilots are in a relatively decent (relative to deregulation) negotiating environment with the exception of the continued oversupply of pilot labor at the larger companies and deathly fierce competition. That may change over time. I wish you the best.

Meantime, we all know the history of aviation and what you guys didn't do for the profession. You helped screw it up and it's our turn to try fix it. SO, PLEASE!

I found it! From the FAQ's;

Can I block posts, emails and messages from specific users?
If there are particular members that bother you and you do not want to see their posts or receive Private Messages and Emails from them, then you can add these members to your 'Ignore List'. There are several ways to do this:
Through your User Control Panel: User CP, Settings & Options, Edit Ignore List. Then, type their name into the empty text box and click 'Okay'.
